Have you got young people heading off to uni this term? Or perhaps you are based in a uni town or city and want to do more to reach and support uni students?

If the answer to either of those is – yes – Fusion Movement could be just what you need.

Going to uni is such a key moment in the lives of young people, and keeping their faith doesn’t just happen by chance.  They need to choose to find a church and keep that faith alive by being responsible for their own discipleship.  We can help prepare them for uni by having a chat with them about their upcoming move and encourage them to find a church there, and let them know that we will be praying for them while they are away.  Some churches even get their young people to stand up and be prayed for before heading off to uni so that they feel loved and supported by the whole church community.

You could also create a WhatsApp support group for young people going off to uni, that you can use for communications, to champion peer support, let them know they are connected from afar and you can utilise it for posting updates like reminders that you are praying for them or to ask if they’ve visited any churches, and to ask how life is going away from home.  You can also engage them in questions about how they are getting on and to share triumphs and struggles with each other so that they feel less alone in their experience.
