Kids Hands On Bible review by Becky Lawrence

Kids Hands on Bible review by Becky Lawrence, Youth and Childrens Worker, St Marks MK

Last year we bought our first Bibles for our kids church, after a lot of research I chose these Hands On Kids Bibles. The hardbacks help them to be more hard wearing.  Our kids group is from year reception to year 6 which is a broad group of ages and stages of faith and these work for all of them.  The younger ones need a little help but they enjoy them too.  I like the durability of the hard cover and inside there are activities and extras for kids to do.  It’s laid out in the same format as a normal Bible with verses and chapters which helps teach children how to use those tools, but it doesn’t look boring.  We used these during Kids Church on Sundays to look up stories and verses and kept them in our resources trolley.  During lockdown instead of these sitting gathering dust I decided to send one out to each of our kids so they could use them at home both in their own time and when we do Kids activities on Zoom. In September when two more kids moved up into primary school and joined our kids church we sent them one of these as a treat to help welcome them to kids church.
