Good News Youth Bible review by Becky Lawrence

Good News Youth Bible by YFC/Bible society by Becky Lawrence, St Marks MK

Last year I got these new Bibles for my youth which we kept at church in our youth trolley pre lockdown for use during youth sessions.  It is a Good News translation written by the Bible Society in collaboration with Youth for Christ.  As lockdown started I sent one to each of my young people so they could make use of it at home both in their own time and when we met online for youth sessions.  We chose to get these young Bibles as they are fairly newly published and seemed modern and up to date.  We loved the funky design which is not only an eye catching durable hardback cover but also continued inside where there is plenty of room in the margins for notes and doodles.

There are loads of helpful pages that explain things for those not familiar with the Bible, there are also wide margins for doodles, notes and drawings.  There are also a whole set of videos online that link to different pages helping explain big Bible topics for young people. Also on Bible Society online you can find other extras too to download that link with this Bible, including creative activity sheets, posters and more.  You can buy these Bibles in a variety of places, I chose Eden as they offer a 10% discount for church leaders ministry resources which makes them a lot more affordable.  RRP. Is £19.99 each, but sometimes they are on offer for £14.99!
