Mission Academy Live review by Libby Arnold

Mission Academy Live review by Libby Arnold, Youth Team Leader at Bridge Church, Lincoln

Mission Academy Live is a fantastic resource (from Hope Youth) created as a tool to help you to encourage the young people in your youth group to be missionally focussed. It is a 10 part video series which provokes conversation about how we can best share our faith with our friends. There are several moments to pause the video and to discuss

questions. The questions really encouraged our young people to have an honest conversation about the challenges they face when sharing their faith, and to share ideas about how to overcome these challenges.  It is engaging and fun, and requires very little preparation to use, giving you and your team more time and energy to focus on building relationships and encouraging conversations.

We have run the programme twice in our youth group.  We have found that it works really well in small group contexts, as it gives space for everyone to be involved.  We have used it with all ages between 11-18, and it is accessible to all these age groups.  It has encouraged some of our young people to start a Christian Union in their school, and to reach out to other Christian teenagers they know to encourage each other to be missional in their school context.  This resource could work well for youthwork online or in person and best of all it is available for free!
