The Bible course – explore the big story – Bible society

This is Bible Societies most popular small group resource which guides your church, life group, youth small group or Christian Union through the Bible’s big story – from Genesis through to Revelation.  It’s aimed at adults but is very accessible to older youth and potentially younger youth too.  The Bible Course New Edition is now available for free as well which makes it perfect on the church budget!  The resource comes with videos that provide the majority of the content.   You can buy individual guidebooks to help with the experience for £9.99 each – which is a little pricey for a youth resource but if you want these and your church can’t afford them – it does say to contact them to see what they can do.  You can also deliver this by just buying one guide which you the leader can use to faciliate.   While it is designed as a group resource – you could also use this as a personal devotional, as a team, a family or in a mentoring situation.

I got a copy of this free at the National Youth Ministry weekend a couple of years ago.  The Bible is a big and complicated book and it can be overwhelming to know where to start.  I love this resource because it helps you dig in & learn and understand the bigger picture of the Bible and helps the penny drop for why it is important and why we should read it.  There is an overarching story across all the books within the Bible .  I love that the material is accessible for both youth and adults as well – which means your church could use this resource across age groups and It’s suitable for those with faith and those without faith.
